The goal of this holiday campaign is to raise money for Hurricane relief. We are asking everyone to use their gifts, talents, passions and interests to raise money for this cause. We all have special gifts and passions and now we can use them to bring about change. Choose something you love to do and ask your friends and family to sponsor you by donating to the cause. Be creative! You could pledge to read a certain amount of books within a certain time, or you could try to dance for 10 hours straight. You could give up your holiday gifts or donate your time helping others. You could swim, bike or run a certain distance. You could go a day without power or internet or phone to mimic what others are going through. Below, we will list what everyone is doing to help raise money and see how our unique actions are helping to make a difference together! The amount of change that can occur when we bond together and go beyond the walls of our schools and communities is infinite! If you are receiving this donation request from someone who is participating, please feel free to partake as well. Click on the "comment" link at the bottom of this page (if the comments are not already visible) to see what others are doing to raise money. Then leave a reply under the comments below by filling out the "Leave a Reply" section and let us know what YOU will be doing to help us raise money for hurricane relief. Then send this webpage to all of your family and friends asking them to support you by making a donation to this cause. Hopefully we can start a domino effect that will bring joy to many families and kids affected by Hurricane Sandy. Let’s celebrate our creative gifts and uniqueness by using them to make a difference!
We will be working in conjunction with the DreamChasers Foundation and the Endurance Trust, which are both 501c3 organizations working to raise money for amazing causes. They have agreed to let us use their site to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy. All money raised will go to those in our community and nearby that were affected by this storm. As a show of global unity, a small portion of the proceeds will be donated to help people in Haiti, a country that was also affected by this storm. The money will be given to The Adventure Project, which will help families get back on their feet by providing them with materials that will help them become more self-sufficient.
Thank you for your generosity and willingness to help. Your kindness will go a long way to bring a smile to those who have experienced much pain and loss in the aftermath of Sandy.

Please click on the following link to make a donation.
IMPORTANT!: In the section entitled "display name" please make sure you write "The Giving Campaign" after your name. This will let the partnering organization know that these funds are bookmarked for our Hurricane Relief:

Mackenzie came up with the idea of "Stop the Clock". On a certain day the students will bring change to school and place it on their teacher's desk. The teacher cannot start class until all change is counted. All money will go to hurricane relief.

If the school would be able to print a giant version of the Declaration of Independence, students would be able to sign their name under it, for a charge of one dollar.

For every 25 cents, we will put up a poster. Our plan is to put posters up all around the world. We will also stay up all night putting up posters. Our goal is to raise 2000 dollars. :)
